Description

48 well plate with sealant for hanging drop vapor diffusion crystallization with a microplate footprint. Stackable, optically clear plastic, 48 well plates with raised covers (to allow room for cover slides) and flat bottoms for exceptional optics. Raised, wide rings around each reservoir (well) minimize cross contamination and allow each well to be individually sealed with 12 mm diameter circle cover slides. Plates are individually wrapped and supplied with applied sealant. The microplate footprint is space-saving and compatible with automated liquid handling systems.

Description

The CrystalHarp plate is designed for crystallization based on capillary diffusion and can be used for crystallization screening and optimization.

Capillary diffusion achieves a much broader screening of variables in one single experiment. The CrystalHarp plate contains 48 capillaries in total and is in an ANSI/SBS 1-2004-standard format to facilitate handling and imaging.

Addition of cryoprotectants or derivatives for phasing studies can be easily added after crystal appearance. The SBS format enables the usage of the plate directly on beam line robots or alternatively single capillaries can be easily mounted to standard magnetic base, enabling in situ diffraction analysis.

The unique capillary material allows data collection at room temperature. Flash-freezing in a liquid nitrogen stream (with or without the use of cryoprotectants) is also feasible. The formation of ice-rings is kept to a manageable minimum.

Art Robbins Instruments has developed the ideal family of plates for crystallography applications: the Intelli-Plate. All versions of the Intelli-Plate have the SBS microplate footprint and standard well spacing and are ideal for manual or automated processing.

The Intelli-Plate Flat Shelf (Art Robbins 102-0001-01 Hampton Research HR8-171 and HR8-172) crystallization plate is a flat drop shelf version of the original Intelli-Plate.

Reservoir volume: 300 µl max.
No drop well.
Plates are made of polystyrene.

The plates can be sealed using Crystal Clear Sealing Film (HR3-609), 3 inch wide Crystal Clear Sealing Tape (HR4-506) or ClearSeal Film™ (HR4-521).

24 well crystallization plate for hanging drop or sitting drop vapor diffusion crystallization (when used with Micro-Bridges or Glass Rods), or dialysis crystallization (when used with Dialysis Buttons). Stackable, optically clear plastic 24 well plates with raised covers (to allow room for cover slides) and flat bottoms for exceptional optics. Raised, wide rings around each reservoir (well) minimize cross contamination and allow each well to be individually sealed with 22 mm diameter circle or square cover slides. Plates are individually wrapped and supplied without sealant.

15.0 cm x 10.8 cm plate footprint is convenient for manual pipetting and well access while at the same time compatible with some automated liquid handling systems.
